APPLICATION PROCESS
Important Dates

– Application Period for 2024/2025 Academic Year:
1 February – 15 May 2024

– Information Session:
25 April 2024 (Thursday) @18.00  @ Faculty of Business Administration – Room: MA-202

– Registration is required for Information Sessions → REGISTER

Requirements

1) A completed Master’s degree with thesis (Official transcript of the undergraduate /graduate degree and proof of graduation at time of registration)

2) ALES EA score (required for all resident Turkish citizens) minimum 75

3) GMAT or GRE score
(Please arrange for your official GRE or GMAT score report to be sent directly to Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration (Bilkent GRE Institution Code is 0620. GMAT Institution Code is JGP-KR-76). In the meantime, you can complete your application with the Unofficial Score Report.

4) Proof of English Proficiency: TOEFL (87 iBT) or IELTS (6.5 av/5.5 each section) or PAE (C)
(If you submit IELTS or Bilkent English Proficiency Exam (PAE) results and you are applying for a PhD program, you also need to satisfy the foreign language requirement as imposed by the Inter-Universities Board (ÜAK) of Turkey. In that case, a minimum of 55 from YDS or its equivalents as listed by the Board, in a language other than the mother tongue must be submitted.)

5) Statement of purpose (outlining the research problem/area of interest)

6) Contact information of three references for recommendation letters (Online Application Form)

7) An up-to-date curriculum vitae

Financial Support

– All admitted PhD students are awarded with a full tuition scholarship. Continuation of the tuition scholarship depends on the student’s progress in the program.
– In addition to tuition scholarships, PhD students may receive a monthly stipend in exchange for academic duties such as research assistance, teaching assistance and exam proctoring.
– Financial support can be also drawn as research assistant stipends from supervisor professors’ research grants.
– Recipients of graduate stipends are also provided with a private health insurance.
– Dissertation-stage PhD students, who receive a monthly stipend, are also awarded with social security premiums.
– There are limited housing opportunities (shared apartments, space in residence halls) for our PhD students who are not residents of Ankara.
