Academic Specialization: International Business
Research interests: Institutional economics, international connectivity, trade finance, global value chains, blockchain & distributed ledger technologies.

Dr. Onuklu has joined Bilkent at Fall 2021. He received his PhD (2021) in International Business from the Strategic Management Department, Fox School of Business, Temple University (Philadelphia, PA). He also holds an MBA (2012) from Broad College of Business, Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI) with a concentration in Finance and Corporate Accounting, and a BS (2001) from Middle East Technical University with a concentration in International Relations.

Dr. Onuklu spent about 15 years in various segments of financial sector, working as a senior associate in Eximbank of Turkey, as an internal auditor in Anadolu Life Insurance and Private Pension and as a revenue associate in Ministry of Finance in Turkey.

Dr. Onuklu is connecting his professional experience with research areas such as international business, international trade & trade finance, global value chains, international connectivity, institutional economics, and blockchain & distributed ledger technologies. Dr. Onuklu taught introductory International Business / Global Management, and graduate level Cross International Cultural Management courses. He is a member of Academy of International Business, Academy of Management (IM & STR), and iBEGIN research group. His special interests include playing clarinet & drums, photography, running & hiking.
