Dr. Gümüşlüoğlu graduated from METU Management Department and got her MBA from Bilkent University in 1994. She worked in several World Bank Projects before joining the FBA in 1997. Received her Ph.D. from Hacettepe University, the Organization and Management track. She acted as a coordinator for the E-Mail Debate Project between University of Rhode Island, Hamburg University and Bilkent University students during 2001-2003. She worked for the Project titled “Let’s Support Unwelcome Innovation” during 2005-2006, which received the World Bank Award in Turkey Development Market Place Competition. In 2013, her paper “Transformational leadership, creativity, and organizational innovation” has received Emerald Citations of Excellence Award which is granted to top 50 papers which contributed the most to the world literature. She is also the recipient of Prof. Muhan Soysal Best Paper Award as well as Best Paper Awards in Organizational Behavior Division and Creativity & Innovation Division in European Academy of Management. Dr. Gümüşlüoğlu published articles in journals such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Business Research, Leadership, European Management Review, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, and Human Resource Management.
Dr. Gumusluoglu has conducted two Tübitak-funded projects, one of which was part of a cross-cultural project among the U.S., Taiwan, & Turkey. She takes active roles in many societal projects, such as Public Innovation, Cukurova Marketing Innovation, and Support Unwelcome Innovation, on behalf of Technology Management Association and Technopolis Group. Recently, she took part in the 11th Development Plan of Turkey for the 2019-2023 period, as a member of the Public Innovation Commission.
